Elisabeth Brown, Psy.D.,ABPP
Elisabeth is a Board Certified Couple and Family Psychologist and licensed in 39* states She is also a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist and Supervisor. In independent practice since 1984, she specializes in working with couples, individuals and families. In addition to her role as Co-Founder and Co-Director of the EFT couples clinic and a clinical supervisor for the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University, she Co-Founded and Co-Directs Brown Skean Seminars. In this role, she runs psycho-educational workshops for couples called: Hold Me Tight NJ. As an integrationist, she strives to help couples negotiate the minefields of intimacy to develop safe, secure and loving relationships. Dr. Brown’s previous experience includes serving as Outreach Coordinator for the Rutgers College Counseling Center, where she ran large-scale workshops on relationships for students. She holds a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University, an M.Ed. in Counseling from Boston University and a B.A. in Psychology from Connecticut College.

Alan Groveman, Ph.D, ABPP
Alan is a highly experienced and compassionate psychologist licensed in 39* states. With over 30 years of dedicated service, he is board certified in couple and family psychology, showcasing an exceptional commitment to helping individuals and families heal and thrive.
Currently serving as the President of the American Academy of Couple and Family Psychology, Alan has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the field. Additionally, as a certified supervisor in Emotionally Focused Therapy, he specializes in guiding therapists and their clients towards deeper emotional connections and stronger relationships.
Alan previously held the position of Director of the professional counseling program at Seton Hall University, where his expertise and passion for teaching influenced many future counselors. Known for his compassionate, caring approach, he remains dedicated to repairing and nurturing relationships through evidence-based practices and empathetic support.
